DIY Bike Repair - What is it ?

New bike systems need special tools and training for using the tools. The days of the monkey wrench mechanic are long gone. I think this course is aimed at owners of simpler bikes. Electronic shifts, custom wheels and other sophisticated bike innovations require special tools and know-how. I've seen bearings fall out of bottom brackets while riders were pedaling, springs inside trigger shifters stretch out, rods thrust through shocks, and wheels bent into a taco shape.
